In 2018, Sanhua employees stood in a field in Haiphong, Vietnam, and made a decision. Seven years later, this site has become one of Sanhua’s most important manufacturing bases overseas, serving global customers and ensuring the stability and resilience of the supply chain. Today, we turn our lens toward Vietnam to see how this chapter on Sanhua’s global map was drawn.
2017
To meet client demands for local and multi-site support and to respond to the ever-changing international environment, the Household Division organized personnel to officially launch the overseas factory project.
2018
After extensive and thorough research and comparison among multiple locations, the project was finally decided to be set in Haiphong City, northern Vietnam.
• July 13: Sanhua officially signed an agreement with the Vietnam Deep C Industrial Zone to settle in.
• September: Company registration completed, Sanhua (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. was established.
• The preparatory team worked tirelessly, completing the first phase of infrastructure, water, electricity, gas, and equipment installation in leased factory buildings.
• October 20: The first stop valve product rolled off the line, marking the official start of production for Sanhua Vietnam and the beginning of a new journey.
2019
• While renting factory buildings, the company also purchased 200 acres of land, and construction of the new park began simultaneously.
• The first phase officially broke ground in May.
• April 17: The company’s labor union was formally established.
2020
• The new factory building passed inspection in August, and water, electricity, and gas installation began.
• Production line construction started in November.
Stop Valve: Production line construction started on November 10, completed on December 10, and mass production conditions were met by December 15.
Four-way Valve & Ball Valve: Construction began on December 10, completed by December 20, and ready for mass production by December 25.
Stop Valve: Construction started on December 20, completed by January 10, 2021, and mass production conditions met by January 15.
• Relying on the continuous development of overseas markets and the expansion of domestic capacity, Sanhua thus opened a new chapter as a global manufacturer and supplier.
2021
• January 4: The first stop valve blank rolled off the line; January 19: The first copper rod was smelted, officially realizing the full production chain for copper rod smelting, forging, machining, welding, and assembly.
• Construction of industry-leading copper rod production line, blank production line, and air conditioner valve production line.
• Recognized by customers in Southeast Asia, Korea, India, and others.
• Completed the ISO9001 quality management system document revision and passed Hangzhou Wantai certification in April.
• Conducted a series of trainings on quality management systems, measuring instruments, product knowledge, quality control points, 8D analysis, and drawing interpretation.
2022
• Daily production capacity of stop valves increased to 50,000 units.
2023
• The assembly workshop was the first to implement a new salary management model.
• Machining equipment achieved automated loading and unloading, aligning with headquarters.
• October: Sanhua Vietnam ’s Phase II factory project successfully commenced.
2024
• Customer DC four-way valve, electronic expansion valve, and coil production lines were successfully built, achieving localized support for local Vietnamese clients.
• September: The 40th anniversary of Sanhua Holdings and the completion ceremony of Sanhua Vietnam ’s Phase II factory were successfully held.
2025
• Daily production capacity of stop valves increased to 90,000 units.
• Production lines for various products such as tube group separators were successfully established.
Park Overview
Sanhua (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. is located in the An Duong Industrial Park (Deep C Industrial Zone) of Haiphong City, Vietnam, covering a total area of 200 acres and employing about 1,100 people. In addition to product lines such as copper rods, blanks, cuboid valves, and stop valves, electronic expansion valve production lines will also be added, meeting the needs for localized production and service for overseas customers, and actively seeking new business opportunities.
Seven years marks a new starting point.
